Support Temple Beth Israel

A donation to Temple Beth Israel is a wonderfully appropriate way to celebrate a life cycle event, to honor or commemorate the life of a loved one, or simply to acknowledge and express appreciation for the benefits Temple Beth Israel brings to your life. Our synagogue has a variety of Tribute and Donation Funds providing ways to support the congregation at all different levels. Members can dedicate a leaf on the Tree of Life, a Yahrzeit Memorial Plaque,  a prayer book or donate to support enrichment in our community. There are opportunities throughout the year to sponsor a Kiddush or a favorite Temple Beth Israel program, such as a lecture series, special program, and performing Jewish artists, or you may also choose to make a contribution to any of the funds listed below:

General Operating Fund

Supports the operating budget of the congregation, supplementing dues to cover day-to-day expenses of the synagogue. 

Endowment Fund

Investment earnings from our permanent endowment are allocated to support Temple Beth Israel’s future financial needs.

Flower Fund

Defrays the cost of floral arrangements used during services, High Holidays and other special events here at the Temple. Acknowledgements can be made in memory or honor of a loved one(s).

BIW Kitchen Fund

Supports Kitchen maintenance, appliance upgrades and supplies.

Rabbi's Discretionary Fund

Used by our Rabbi for Tzedakah in the Jewish and secular communities as well as for rabbinic initiatives at the synagogue in his discretion.

Choir Fund

Enhances the musical traditions of Temple Beth Israel during worship, special programming and concerts

Michael B. Eisenstat Miniversity of Judaism Fund

Supports educational programs and courses provided to our members and community, including seminars, lectures, performances, films and more.

Lecture Series Fund

Supports the Temple’s speakers committee which presents Scholar guest speakers covering a variety of global topics.

Library Fund

Contributions donated to the library fund ensures coverage for general library expenses such as supplies, new books, subscriptions, group activities and more.

Social Action Fund

Contributions made to the Social Action Committee fund are used for hands-on projects that support at-risk groups and to promote social justice through education and community awareness programs.

Torah Fund

This fund supports the preservation, maintenance and covers for our Torahs.

Yahrzeit Fund

The Yahrzeit fund goes towards maintaining the Yahrzeit memorial wall in our sanctuary as well as purchasing memorial plaques for loved ones.

Facilities Maintenance Fund

Monies contributed to this fund would be for maintaining the Temple building structure, Air conditioning, landscaping needs, necessary renovations, etc.
